Potato Cheese Balls Recipe | Cheese Balls

Potato cheese balls are a crispy and delicious starter or snacks made with potatoes and cheese.

Ingredients

  • Potato 1.5 cups boiled, peeled and mashed
  • Corn flour ¼ cup
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Maida 3 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs as required
  • Cheese cubes 10-14

Instructions

  • Boil, peel and mash the potatoes and take in a bowl
  • Add corn flour, pepper powder, salt and red chilli flakes
  • Mix together to form stiff dough
  • Make small balls of them and flatten it. Keep the cheese cubes inside and make balls
  • Repeat the same for rest of the dough
  • Then mix maida with few tbsp of water to form thick dough.
  • Dip the balls in maida mixture
  • Then roll them in bread crumbs
  • Repeat the same for all balls
  • Heat oil and fry them till golden.
  • Yummy potato cheese balls are ready

Notes

You can add grated cheese to the dough and make balls too instead of stuffing
Adjust the spices according to your preference.
If you are baking pre heat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes and bake in the same temperature for 15-20 minutes till it is crispy
You can make them ahead and keep in fridge for 3-4 days or in freezer for longer time
You can skip the cheese and make only potato balls too.
