Ingredients

  • Makhana/Lotus seeds 2 cups
  • Chaat masala ½ tsp
  • Red chilly powder ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1.5 tsp
  • Salt as required

Instructions

  • Heat butter and roast the makhana in low flame till crispy and crunchy and remove them.
  • In the same pan heat oil and add all the spice powders.
  • Give a quick mix till everything is combined.
  • Add the roasted makhana to it.
  • Give a quick till masalas are evenly coated.
  • Spicy roasted phool makhana is ready.

Notes

You can dry roast the makhana instead of roasting in butter.
In order for the spices to coat evenly with makhana I added spices to oil and then tossed.
Adjust the spices according to your preference.
