Ingredients
Samosa 4
Onions finely chopped to garnish
Tomatoas finely chopped to garnish
Green chutney 4 tbsp or as required
Sweet chutney 4 tbsp or as required
Salt as required
Red chilli powder to sprinkle
Cumin powder to sprinke
Sev 1 cup optional
Coriander leaves to garnish
Making Masala
White peas 1 ½ cup
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Onions 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Tomatoes 1
Red chilli powder 1 ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Cumin powder ½ tsp
Garam masala ½ tsp
Coriander leaves to garnish optional
Instructions
Making Masala
Take 1 ½ cup white peas or normal chana.
Soak white peas in water for 5-6 hours or overnight.
Pressure cook the peas adding water with salt for 2 whistles.
Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and saute for one min.
Then add ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes
Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy
Now add spice powders and salt and saute nicely for 5 minutes
Add the boiled peas along with water
Mash them nicely.
Allow it to boil till water is reduced
Garnish with coriander leaves
Making Samosa Chaat
In a plate crumble samosas as pieces.
Then add the channa masala to cover it completely.
Add the Sweet chutney
Then add green chutney
Top it with finely chopped onions
Then add tomatoes
Sprinkle some salt, red chilli powder and cumin powder . You can use chaat masala too
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
Notes
White peas gives street style taste. You can use normal channa too for this recipe too. Adjust spice according to your taste.You can add chaat masala or amchur powder too for nice taste. It tasted good without that too. You can use curd and make dahi samosa chaat alsoAdjust chutney as per your taste. I always add some extra chutney for me.You can garnish with sev.
