Spicy Mixture recipe | South Indian Mixture recipe

Mixture is one of the popular snacks recipe which everyone loves to eat.

Ingredients

  • Boondi 300 grams
  • Omapodi 250 grams
  • Cashews ¼ cup
  • Roasted gram dal ¼ cup
  • Peanuts ¼ cup
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves ¼ cup
  • Broken murukku handful
  • Broken ribbon pakoda handful

Instructions

  • Prepare plain Boondi as per the recipe and keep it ready. Avoid the tempering with garlic, cashews, peanuts as we will add it here.
  • Prepare the Omapodi/Sev as per the recipe
  • Fry the roasted gram dal, cashews, peanuts in oil. Fry curry leaves in the same oil.
  • Use your big sieve and fry them. So it is easy to remove them from oil. You can shallow fry them with little oil too.
  • Take all the ingredients in a wide bowl
  • Add red chilli powder, salt and asafoetida and mix.
  • Spicy mixture is ready
  • Store in air tight container and enjoy with Tea/Coffee

Notes

You can use aval/ Poha, green gram, badam, fried channal dal, kara sev also.
I didn't add curry leaves as it is not easily available here as well as expensive. But don't skip that.
Amount of each one can be increased or decreased as per our choice.
