Sweet Potato Paratha Recipe

Sweet potato paratha is a healthy and delicious flatbread made with sweet potato, wheat flour, and spices.

Ingredients

  • Sweet potato 250 grams
  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Salt as required
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala ¼ tsp
  • Cumin Powder ¼ tsp
  • Water little to sprinkle
  • Oil 2 tsp + extra while cooking.

Instructions

  • Wash and take sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker.
  • Pressure cook them for 2-3 whistles.
  • Peel the skin of sweet potatoes and mash them nicely.
  • Add wheat flour, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and cumin powder to it.
  • Mix it nicely and sprinkle little water.
  • Knead to form a dough and add oil
  • Knead again for 5-7 minutes till the dough is soft.
  • Make small round balls from the dough.
  • Dust it with little flour and roll.
  • Roll them into medium-sized roti
  • Heat kadai and place the rolled paratha. Drizzle oil on the top.
  • Flip them and cook on both sides till golden.
  • Repeat the same for rest of the dough..
  • Serve them hot with raita, curd, pickle or any gravy

Notes

Adjust the spices according to your preference.
Can add green chilli, finely chopped coriander leaves for more flavor.
