Tempered Tapioca Recipe | Maravalli kilagu thalichathu Recipe

Tapioca is simply boiled and tempered with spices and coconut.

Ingredients

  • Tapioca 250 grams
  • Salt as required
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Mustard ½ tsp
  • Urad dal ½ tsp
  • Red chilli 2
  • Curry leaves few
  • Grated coconut 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Take Tapioca and cut them in the middle and peel the skin. It will come easily. Remove the vein in the middle also.
  • Chop them and wash it 2-3 times to remove any dirt
  • Boil the chopped Tapioca with salt for 10-15 minutes till it is soft.
  • Drain the water and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
  • Add the boiled tapioca, salt and turmeric powder and mix.
  • Finally add the grated coconut and mix.
  • Tempered Tapioca is ready.
