Tempered Tapioca Recipe | Maravalli kilagu thalichathu Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Tapioca is simply boiled and tempered with spices and coconut. It is perfect evening snacks with cup of Tea/Coffee. It is so simple and easy to make and healthy for kids. Tapioca is also called as Maravalli kilagu in Tamil and has lot of health benefits.
It is gluten free and has lot of fiber content. Tapioca flour is available and can be used for cooking and baking. That’s in my to do list for long time and should try something soon. How to make Tempered Tapioca with step by step pictures
Take Tapioca and cut them in the middle and peel the skin. It will come easily. Remove the vein in the middle also.
Chop them and wash it 2-3 times to remove any dirt
Boil the chopped Tapioca with salt for 10-15 minutes till it is soft.
Drain the water and keep it aside.
Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
Add the boiled tapioca, salt and turmeric powder and mix.
Finally add the grated coconut and mix.
Tempered Tapioca is ready.
