Wheat appam Recipe | Instant Wheat Flour appam Recipe
Wheat appam is made with wheat flour, jaggery and banana.

- Wheat flour ½ cup
- Rice flour 1 tbsp
- Banana 1 small
- Jaggery ⅓ cup
- Water 2-3 tbsp + extra for batter
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
- Baking soda 2 pinch
- Oil or ghee for roasting
Take jaggery in a pan along with water.
Allow it to boil till it melts and filter to remove impurities and keep it ready.
Mash the banana.
Take all the ingredients in a bowl.
Add water little by little and mix to form batter.
Consistency should be thick like panniyaram batter.
Heat pan and drizzle with oil/ghee
Pour the batter in each hole and allow it to cook for one minute.
Then flip the appam and cook till golden.
Remove and enjoy them hot.
Adjust the jaggery according to the sweetness of banana.
You can deep fry them in oil/Ghee
Add some grated coconut to batter.
