Herbal Green Tea Recipe | Spiced Green Tea | Immunity Booster recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Herbal green tea is healthy and refreshing variation of green tea prepared using different immunity boosting ingredients. I have used ajwain leaves, ginger, cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, lemon and honey.
Ajwain leaves is so good for cough and cold. Ginger is natural immunity booster and also improves digestion. Lemon is good source of Vitamin C and helps in weight loss. Cinnamon and honey is loaded with anti oxidants. Green tea helps to burn the fat. Overall it is power packed immunity booster which is much required in these times.
Monday again and theme for this week Foodie Monday Blog hop group is #263Herbal&Health suggested by Aruna who blogs at vasusvegkitchen. She suggested to make any herbal tea or kadha. Aruna is good friend of mine and I was asking her for suggestions of what to make and she gave me this idea and shared the recipe from her blog. I made few changes and made this herbal green tea. Ingredients
- Green tea 1 bag or 1 tsp
- Ginger 1 tsp
- Peppercorns 5
- Cloves 2
- Cardamom 1
- Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
- Lemon 1/2
- Honey 1 tsp
- Ajwain leaves 2
- Water 1.5 cups
Instructions
- Take all the ingredients and keep it ready.
- Take ginger, pepper, cloves and cardamom in mortal and pestle.
- Crush them nicely.
- Boil water in a pan
- Add the crushed pepper, clove, cardamom and ginger to it.
- Then add ajwain leaves and cinnamon powder to it
- Allow it to boil nicely.
- Then add green tea bags to it.
- Allow it to boil for one minute till color changes.
- Switch off and filter the tea.
- Add lemon juice to it.
- Then add honey and mix
- Immunity booster herbal green tea is ready.
Notes
Add lemon and honey according to your preference
Can add tulsi leaves or paan leaves instead of ajwain leaves
