Cream Cheese Frosting | Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Cream cheese frosting is mild sweet and rich in taste. I always prefer cream cheese frosting than butter or whipped cream frosting. It goes well with any type of cake especially with red velvet cake or carrot cake. I used this cream cheese frosting for my red velvet cake. We can also make this frosting using butter which I will share soon. Here I used whipped cream to make this frosting.
What makes this recipe extra special is I used my homemade Cream Cheese to make this frosting and it turned out yummy. If you have not tried out making cream cheese do try and it is very simple. It uses only very few ingredients and time taken depends on whipping cream. Since my whipping cream whips fast I made this in 5 minutes. Do try and let me know your feedback.

Ingredients
- Cream cheese 1/2 cup or 90 grams
- Whipping cream/double cream 3/4 cup
- Granulated Sugar 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Instructions
- Take Cream cheese, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl.
- Beat it with electric beater till it is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cream and beat till stiff peaks forms.
- Cream Cheese frosting is ready
Notes
Time taken depends on whipping cream. Carefully whip the cream and keep an eye because if you whip for long time it becomes butter. Store in airtight container in fridge if not using immediately. It keeps well for one week.
