Banana Lassi Recipe | How to make Banana Lassi recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Banana lassi is cool and refreshing drink for summer prepared using curd and banana. Lassi is yogurt based drink very popular in Northern parts of India. We have both sweet and salt versions of lassi. It is thicker in consistency compared to buttermilk. Version of lassi with fruits is always sweet. I love salt version of lassi more than sweet. I had some overripe bananas which needs to be used immediately. So decided to make sweet version using banana.

It is flavored with cardamom powder. You can also try cinnamon powder and nutmeg. So quick and easy to prepare. Always use fresh thick curd for making lassi. Taste of the lassi purely depends on the quality of the curd used. Ingredients

  • Banana 2 small
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Cardamon 2
  • Sugar/Honey 2 tsp optional
  • Water 3/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Take all the ingredients in the mixer.
  2. Blend to smooth puree.
  3. Pour into the glass, chill and serve.

Notes

Always use fresh thick curd for making lassi. Taste of the lassi purely depends on the quality of the curd used.

You can use hand whisk or churner to whisk the lassi which will give nice frothy texture.

You can add some ice cubes while grinding or chill in fridge and serve.

You can garnish with nuts while serving

For me sweetness of the banana is enough so I didn't add sugar.

You can increase the amount of curd and reduce water to make it more thick.
