Cardamom Powder Recipe | Elaichi powder | How to make Cardamom powder recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. It is flavorful and aromatic spice powder used in most of the Indian sweets. We use cardamom as a whole or powder in many dishes. It enhances the taste of the dish and I love to add them. We always prepare cardamom powder in home and keep it handy and use them whenever we prepare some sweets. It can be used to prepare cardamom tea too.
There is no need to discard the skin. Dry roast the cardamom or keep under sun for 1-2 hours. My mom will add sugar so cardamom will grind faster. Since we grind with skin it will take little time to powder it finely. We can powder it coarsely too. Store in airtight container and it keeps well up-to six months. This is my first entry to Blogging Marathon themed under Condiments for this week.

Ingredients
- Cardamom 50 grams
- Sugar 2 tsp
Instructions
- Dry roast the cardamom in kadai.
- Roast them till you see some spots and aromatic for around 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer to plate and allow to cool down.
- Take the roasted cardamom in mixer and add sugar to it.
- Grind to fine powder.
- Transfer to airtight container.
