    Masala Fish Fry Recipe | Spicy Masala Fish Fry recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. It is a fried, spicy and delicious starter made by marinating the fish with different masalas. You can shallow fry or deep fry the fish. Make sure fish is nicely coated with masala and fry them till crisp.

    You can use any type of fish for this recipe. Bake in the oven or air fry the fish instead of shallow frying. Marinate for more time for flavors to absorb. You can substitute corn flour with rice flour. Enjoy it with rasam rice.

    Masala Fish Fry Recipe | Spicy Masala Fish Fry

    Masala fish fry is a fried, spicy and delicious starter made by marinating the fish with different masalas.
    Prep Time 25 minutes minutes
    Cook Time 15 minutes minutes
    Total Time 40 minutes minutes

    Ingredients

    • Fish 500 grams
    • Corn flour 3 tbsp
    • Curd 3 tbsp
    • Salt 11/2 tsp or as required
    • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
    • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
    • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
    • Coriander powder ½ tsp
    • Garam masala ½ tsp
    • Cumin Powder ½ tsp
    • Lemon juice ½ tbsp

    Instructions

    • Clean and wash the fish
    • Add ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp turmeric powder to it
    • Mix it with fish and keep it aside.
    • Take all other ingredients in the bowl.
    • Adding little water and mix to form a thick paste.
    • Dip each fish slice in the batter.
    • Similarly, do the same for all the fish slices, arrange them on the plate and marinate for 15 minutes.
    • Heat oil in a pan or dosa Kadai.
    • Place the fish slices and fry them.
    • Flip and cook till crispy.
    • Drain them in kitchen tissue.
    • Masala Fish fry is ready.

    Notes

    You can use any type of fish like salmon, mackeral etc.
    Adjust the spiciness according to your preference. This is mild spicy suitable for kids.
    You can keep in fridge after marination to coat the fish nicely. You can marinate overnight and fry next day too.
    You can bake them or air fry the fish instead of shallow frying.

    How to make Masala Fish Fry with step by step pictures
