It belongs to cabbage family and looks similar to cauliflower. Nowadays I try lot of things with broccoli as I get them almost every week.
Broccoli stir fry is crunchy side dish where broccoli is simply cooked with spices. You can add ginger garlic paste or crushed garlic/ginger to add more flavor to the dish. How to make Broccoli Stir Fry with step by step pictures
Wash and clean the broccoli and keep it ready.
Heat oil and add mustard and cumin seeds.
Once it browns add the onions and saute for 2-3 minutes
Now add the broccoli and saute for 1 minute till it shrinks.
Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix
Now add little water
Cover and cook for 5 minutes
Open the lid and check if broccoli is cooked and water is absorbed.
Add pepper powder and saute for few seconds
Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves
Serve Broccoli stir fry with rice.
