Hot and sour Veg soup is one of the popular soup recipes from Indo-chinese cuisine. It is spicy and tangy soup loaded with lot of vegetables. We can use different veggies like cabbage, carrot, beans, capsicum, mushroom, sweet corn, paneer and meat lovers can use chicken or egg.
Enjoy warm bowl of soup during Winters. It would be most comforting food. I have used green chilli sauce and pepper powder for spiciness and vinegar for tanginess. Adjust the consistency of the soup and sauces according to your taste and preference. This is my second entry under soups and stews theme in this week Blogging Marathon. Hot and Sour Veg Soup Recipe | How to make Hot and Sour Vegetable Soup
Ingredients
- Oil/butter 1 tbsp
- Onion 1 small
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Cabbage ⅓ cup finely chopped
- Carrot 3 tbsp finely chopped
- Beans 3 finely chopped
- Capsicum ¼ cup finely chopped
- Corn flour 1 tbsp
- Water 1-2 cups
- Soya sauce 2 tsp
- Green chilli sauce 1 tsp
- Vinegar/lime juice 1 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp or as required
- Salt as required
Instructions
- Finely chop the cabbage, carrot, capsicum. beans and onions.
- Mix corn flour with water and keep it ready.
- Heat oil and add the finely chopped onions and ginger garlic paste.
- Saute them in high flame for one minute and add the finely chopped vegetables.
- Add salt and saute them for 3-4 minutes.
- Then add water and allow it to boil.
- Add the corn flour mix to mixture.
- Then add soya sauce, green chilli sauce, vinegar and pepper powder. Taste and adjust the seasonings.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

How to make hot and sour veg soup
