Paal Kozhukattai Recipe | Paal Kozhukattai using sugar recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Paal Kozhukattai is one of the traditional sweets from chettinad made by cooking rice flour balls in coconut milk. Traditionally they will soak rice and grind it and make small cylindrical or round balls and cook in coconut milk. I have followed the short cut method of using readymade rice flour and used sugar instead of jaggery. Will surely share the traditional method some time.
I used my homemade idiyappam flour and used milk to knead the dough. You can even use the leftover idiyappam dough and make these balls and cook in milk. Some people will use murukku press and make directly in milk. It will be so rich with coconut milk. You can adjust the consistency according to your preference. Made this for the occasion of ganesh chaturthi. Lets see how to make this exotic and rich Paal Kozhukattai.
