Broken Wheat Biryani Recipe | Samba Godhumai Biryani | Dhaliya Biryani Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. It is quick, easy and one pot recipe made with broken wheat. Broken wheat is also called as Dhaliya in hindi, samba godhumai or godhumai rava in tamil. It is good alternative to rice and so healthy and nutritious grain. I followed the same method of making biryani with rice and replaced with broken wheat.
I am big fan of biryani and like to try with different millets and other grains. Not much fans of broken wheat in home so I made for myself and enjoyed for lunch along with grilled pineapple. As part of this week blogging Marathon I am planning to share three interesting recipes with broken wheat. Now let’s check how to make this delicious biryani.

How to make Broken Wheat Biryani with step by step pictures
Heat oil and temper with ingredients listed under to temper in pressure cooker.
Then add finely chopped onions and slit green chillies and saute for a min
Now add crushed ginger and garlic paste. Then add tomatoes and saute till mushy
Then add veggies and give a quick saute.
Then add all spice powders mentioned above and saute for few mins.
Next add curd and saute nicely.
Then add finely chopped coriander leaves.
Next add broken wheat and give a quick saute
Finally add water and allow it to boil.
Close the lid and pressure cook for one whistle. Once the pressure releases, open the lid and squeeze lemon juice and drizzle ghee and mix.
Delicious Broken Wheat Biryani is ready. Enjoy them with raita or any curry.
