Dry Fish Thokku | Karuvadu Thokku | Nethili karuvadu thokku recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Karuvadu is slowly cooked in onion tomata masala. Lot of onions, garlic, tomatoes and with all masala it will be so delicious. It is very simple and easy side dish which goes well with rice. You can adjust the consistency of the gravy according to your preference. I like it dry to have it with sambar or some kuzhambu.

Many people don't like to eat karuvadu due to the smell but I like it a lot especially semi gravy type or fry. It is considered to boost milk supply for lactating mothers. Always soak in hot water to clean them and apply turmeric. I used nethili fish but you can use any type of dry fish. You can shallow fry the karuvadu and add to gravy too.
