Ferrero Rocher recipe | Homemade Ferrero Rocher | Hazelnut truffles recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Ferrero Rocher is chocolate hazelnut truffles made with nutella and hazelnuts. It is one of my favorite chocolate with crunchy hazelnut flavor. It is very expensive in shops but very easy to make in home. I made this for my daughter’s birthday with homemade almond nutella. It requires ferrero rocher shells and it is available in baking supplies store and cost only 50 rupees for big bag of shells.
First time I tried making this in UK without using ferrero rocher shells. You can crush the crackers and use them instead of shells if you are not able to access them. You can pack them in wrappers and gift it to friends/family. When you have nutella and roasted hazelnuts, we can easily assemble these truffles in 15 minutes and freeze them. It is perfect to keep in cake table for kids birthday parties and everyone will enjoy them.

- Take hazelnuts in a pan.
- Dry roast them in medium flame till it is nicely roasted and aromatic.
- Keep the nutella in freezer previous day
- Take ferrero rocher shells and keep it ready.
- Crush half of the hazelnuts coarsely in blender and keep it ready.
- Melt chocolate in microwave and mix the powdered hazelnuts.
- Take a spoon of nutella and keep the roasted hazelnut in the center.
- Close it to form the ball.
- Keep this ball inside shells and close them.
- Repeat the same process and prepare shells.
- Finally dip the shells in chocolate hazelnuts mix.
- Keep them in liner or parchment paper and allow it to cool down.
- Keep in freezer for one hour to set quickly
- Then wrap them in wrappers.
- Yummy Ferrero Rocher Chocolates are ready
Notes
You can use crushed crackers instead of ferrero rocher shells
You can melt any chocolate for outer covering
Add more crushed nuts on the outer covering for more crunchier balls. I used the leftover after using in shells. You can mix cashews, almonds and pista too.
How to make Ferrero Rocher in Home with step by step pictures

Keep the nutella in freezer previous day
Take ferrero rocher shells and keep it ready.
Crush half of the hazelnuts coarsely in blender and keep it ready.
Finely chop the chocolate and melt chocolate in microwave
Mix the powdered hazelnuts to melted chocolate
Take a spoon of nutella and keep the roasted hazelnut in the center.
Close it to form the ball.
Keep this ball inside shells and close them with other half of shell
Repeat the same process and prepare shells.
Finally dip the shells in chocolate hazelnuts mix.
Keep them in liner or parchment paper and allow it to cool down. I used half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate. Keep in freezer for one hour to set quickly
Then wrap them in wrappers.
