Homemade Nannari Syrup Recipe | How to make Nannari Syrup in home recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Nannari/Indian sarsaparilla is perfect coolant for the body in Summer. We have lot of shops selling nannari sarbath and syrup. I wanted to make my own nannari syrup last summer itself and finally it happened in this summer.

It is more flavorful and natural than store bought syrup which is full of artificial colors and additives. To prepare the syrup in home, we need nannari roots. Try to source the roots from country medical shops(nattu marundu kadai). It is little time consuming as we need to remove the center thick stalk from the roots and powder them.

Notes

Wash the roots nicely to remove all dirt

You can add less sugar and add extra while preparing too.

To prepare nannari syrup, mix 2-3 tbsp in one cup of water along with lemon juice.

It took me around 35-40 minutes to reach the consistency.

Filter extract in fine mesh so fine particles is removed too.

I didn't add any color but you can add some kesar or yellow color if you prefer.
