Homemade Nannari Syrup Recipe | How to make Nannari Syrup in home recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Nannari/Indian sarsaparilla is perfect coolant for the body in Summer. We have lot of shops selling nannari sarbath and syrup. I wanted to make my own nannari syrup last summer itself and finally it happened in this summer.
It is more flavorful and natural than store bought syrup which is full of artificial colors and additives. To prepare the syrup in home, we need nannari roots. Try to source the roots from country medical shops(nattu marundu kadai). It is little time consuming as we need to remove the center thick stalk from the roots and powder them.
Nowadays we also get nannari powder in shops and online. That will make the process easier. I already made another batch after this using powder. Will share the recipe when I try next time. I adopted the recipe from here. You can customize it and reduce the sugar in the syrup and add while preparing too. Lot of recipes using Nannari Syrup is coming up so stay stuned.
