Instant Rava Paniyaram Recipe | Rava Kara Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make quick and instant Rava Paniyaram. Kuzhi paniyaram is generally made with leftover idli/dosa batter or special batter prepared for it. This is instant version of paniyaram made using rava and curd. Perfect option for quick breaskfast, dinner or snacks.
I love savory version of kuzhi paniyaram and make it so often with leftover idli/dosa batter. It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare this recipe. Temper it with mustard, urad dal, onions, curry leaves and any vegetable of your choice and enjoy them warm with coconut or tomato chutney. This is my second entry to this week blogging marathon themed under Instant Dishes.

Ingredients
- Rava/Semolina 1 cup
- Curd 3/4 cup
- Water 3/4 cup
- Onion 1 small
- Green chilli 1
- Carrot 2 tbsp grated
- Curry leaves few finely chopped
- Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Gingely oil 2 tsp + extra for cooking
- Mustard 1/2 tsp
- Urad Dal 1/2tsp
Instructions
- Take 1 cup of Rava in a bowl.
- Add curd and water to it.
- Mix it till combined and keep it aside for 15 minutes
- Heat oil and temper with mustard and urad dal.
- Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and green chilli.
- Saute till nicely till onions browns and add finely chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
- Add the tempering to the batter.
- Add finely grated carrot to it.
- Mix everything and batter is ready.
- Heat paniyaram pan and drizzle oil in each hole.
- Pour small spoon of batter in each hole and allow it to cook.
- Carefully flip the appe once it is brown and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Spicy instant rava kara paniyaram is ready.
- Serve it hot with coconut or tomato chutney.
Notes
Adjust the amount of curd. You can replace with curd entirely and skip water too.
Use gingely oil for drizzling as it taste good
You can skip carrot and make it plain or add other vegetables too
It is best when served hot. If you are keeping for long time you can add little baking soda so it remains soft.
