Ingredients
- Rava 1/2 cup
- Pineapple 3/4 cup chopped
- Sugar 3/4 cup
- Water 1/2 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Ghee 1/4 cup
- Cashews 2-3 tbsp
- Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
- Yellow food color a pinch
- Salt a pinch
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee and roast cashews till golden.
- Remove and keep it aside.
- In the same ghee, roast the Rava on medium flame till slightly brown.
- Transfer roasted Rava to the plate
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee and fry the pineapple chunks for 2 minutes
- Then add milk and water to it.
- Add a pinch of yellow color to it.
- Once it boils, reduce the flame and slowly add Rava to it.
- Keep stirring continuously to prevent forming lumps and till the Rava is cooked.
- Then add the required sugar to it and mix.
- Sugar will melt and then cook till it comes together.
- Add cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, and a pinch of salt to it
- Add remaining ghee to it and mix.
- Finally, add the roasted nuts.
- Delicious pineapple Kesari is ready.
Notes
Keep in low flame and add Rava slowly and stir continuously to avoid forming lumps.
Adjust the sugar according to your preference.
Use a generous amount of ghee to get melt the mouth texture
You can grease a plate with ghee and spread the Kesari. Once it is set you can cut them as neat pieces
You can use few strands of saffron for natural coloring.
You can skip the milk and use only water for cooking
How to make Pineapple Kesari with step by step pictures
