Foxtail Millet Porridge Recipe | Millet Porridge using Coconut Milk | Thinai kanji recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Millet porridge is filling and healthy breakfast alternative to porridge made with rice. Thick coconut milk enhances the taste of the dish. I used thinai/foxtail millet but you can substitute with other millets too.
Foxtail millet is rich in fibre, protien and low in fat. I make porridge with rice, moong dal and coconut milk at least once a week as my kids love them. Tried using millets and it turned out super delicious. Addition of moong dal is optional and you can skip it. Enjoy them with pickle or some thogayal.
