Broken Wheat upma Recipe | Samba Godhumai upma | Dhaliya Upma Recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Broken Wheat upma is healthy and nutritious breakfast with lot of vegetables. It is good alternative to regular upma made with rava/semolina. Broken wheat is also called as cracked wheat, Dhaliya in hindi, samba godhumai or godhumai rava in tamil.
When I prepare for myself I would love to add lot of vegetables. You can skip and make it plain. You can prepare this in pressure cooker with 1-2 whistles. Serve it with simple coconut chutney or sambar. This is quick and easy breakfast which gets ready in 20 minutes. If you are looking for some variation from upma, try broken wheat Biryani.
