Cauliflower stir fry Recipe | Gobi fry | Simple Cauliflower roast recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make quick and simple cauliflower stir fry. Cauliflower is simply roasted with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. I add little corn flour/rice flour to make it crispy. I make this so often by my kid lunch box as cauliflower is one of the very few veggies she eat.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower 1 medium
  • Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Corn flour 1.5 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take 1 medium cauliflower, clean the florets.
  2. Boil the florets in hot water for 3-4 minutes till it is half cooked.
  3. Drain the cauliflower and keep it aside.
  4. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and corn flour to blanched cauliflower.
  5. Mix everything till it is nicely combined.
  6. Heat oil and add the marinated cauliflower.
  7. Stir and roast in medium flame till it is done.
  8. Cauliflower stir fry is ready.

Notes

You can add ginger garlic paste while marination.

You can increase the spices or add little pepper powder also along with red chilli powder.

How to make Gobi fry with step by step pictures

Take 1 medium cauliflower, clean the florets.

Boil the florets in hot water for 3-4 minutes.

Drain the cauliflower and keep it aside.

Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and corn flour to blanched cauliflower.

Mix everything together

Heat oil and add the marinated cauliflower.

Stir and roast in medium flame till it is done.

  • Lovely way to enjoy cauliflower even in the lunch box. I sometimes make stir fried cauliflower but after a while goes all soft. I like you suggestion of using cornflour or rice flour to make it more crispy.
  • Simple Cauliflower roast !!!! I am simply drooling. this is a common affair during winter . This time I tried these in oven and that also turned out so yum ! I love this stir fry with simple phulka and onion slices
