Eggless Custard cookies | Custard powder cookies recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Learn how to make eggless melt in mouth custard cookies. Custard cookies are variation of butter cookies with addition of custard powder. If you like the custard taste I am sure you will enjoy these cookies. Custard powder is nothing but corn flour with some flavoring usually vanilla. Corn flour really adds so much soft and melt in mouth texture to cookies.

I made these cookies with wheat flour and free of refined sugar too. These cookies are very easy to make and perfect for tea time snacks. I made two batches of these cookies and took to my MIL place and everyone enjoyed it. We can adjust the ratio of custard powder and wheat flour as per our choice. You can easily bake them without oven too. Follow the steps in my Ghee Biscuits post to bake without oven.

Learn how to make eggless melt in mouth custard cookies.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Custard powder 1/2 cup
  • Butter 100 grams
  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milk 2-3 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take butter in a bowl
  2. Add sugar to it and mix butter and sugar to form a creamy texture.
  3. Add wheat flour and custard powder to butter sugar mixture
  4. Mix everything together and it looks like crumbs.
  5. Add vanilla essence and few tbsp of milk to form a dough.
  6. Take small ball and flatten them with your hands.
  7. You can use fork to make these designs and shape all the cookies
  8. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the cookies
  9. Preheat the oven at 180°C and bake in the same temperature for 20-25 minutes till the sides brown.
  10. Serve the yummy custard cookies for tea.

Notes

Baking time can vary between different oven and thickness of cookies. So always keep an eye after 20 minutes.

You can shape these cookies are per your choice.

Cookies always looks soft while taking out and later becomes firm

Proportion of custard powder and flour is our choice. We can reduce the custard powder if we don't prefer the taste.
