Eggless Marble Muffins Recipe | Whole Wheat Choco Vanilla Swirl Muffins recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Eggless Marble Muffins is combination of chocolate and vanilla flavours. We can use any vanilla cake recipe as base for this muffins and mix cocoa powder to half of batter to get chocolate flavor and then alternatively pour the mixture to cup cake liner to make swirls. It is perfect for kids birthday party, potluck or any occasions.
You can indulge these guilt free muffins. They are made with wheat flour and jaggery. You won't get white color for marbles but I liked this combination too and it looked good. If you like to have white color use white sugar instead of jaggery in this recipe. Made these muffins in 4-5 batches for orphanage kids and they really enjoyed these homemade treats. Eggless Marble Muffins Recipe | Whole Wheat Choco Vanilla Swirl Muffins
Ingredients
- Wheat flour 1 1/2 cup
- Powdered Jaggery/Sugar 3/4 cup
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Oil 1/3 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Lime juice/vinegar 2-3 tsp
- Vanilla essence 2 tsp
- Cocoa powder 1-2 tbsp
Instructions
- Sieve wheat flour along with baking soda and baking powder 5-6 times and keep it ready. This step is very important for getting airy, soft and fluffy cake.
- Take milk and jaggery in a bowl and mix till jaggery is dissolved.
- Then add vinegar, oil, vanilla essence, mix and keep it aside for 5 mins.
- Add the dry ingredients in batches to wet mixture
- Mix till it is nicely combined and vanilla batter is ready.
- Take half of the batter and add cocoa powder to it
- Mix it nicely and choco batter is ready.
- Grease the muffin tray or place liners in muffin tray
- Pour the layer to vanilla batter first.
- Then add the chocolate layer
- Repeat it till it forms the 3/4th of the liner.
- Using Tooth picks or skewer and make a swirl in each muffins
- Preheat the oven to 160°C for 10 minutes
- Place the muffin tray in oven and bake in the same temperature for 20-25 minutes till tooth pic inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from muffin tray and serve
