Ghee biscuits are delicious melt in mouth cookies which is very simple to make. It is one of the famous cookies available in bakeries. Usually they use maida to prepare these cookies. I replaced maida with finger millet and the result is healthy and nutritious cookies.
Ragi has lot of health benefits and it is rich in calcium. It is good for weight loss, diabetes and helps to reduce cholesterol level. We can make variety of dishes using finger millet. Ragi porridge is one of the first solid foods introduced to babies. My mom used to make Ragi Kali or Ragi koozh. Ragi Dosa or Ragi chapati is one of the good option for breakfast or dinner. Ragi ghee biscuits is good alternative to regular dishes we make with finger millet and kids will like them. My brother thought it is chocolate cookies and ate them. This is my second entry to Blogging Marathon themed under 3 ingredient recipes for this week.

Ragi Ghee Biscuits | Finger Millet Cookies | Ragi Biscuits
Ingredients
- Ragi flour 1/2 cup
- Powdered sugar 3 tbsp
- Ghee 1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp optional
Instructions
- Take flour in a bowl
- Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to it.
- Mix it nicely.
- Then add the ghee
- Mix nicely to form the dough.
- Take small ball of the dough and flatten them.
- Line the baking tray with parchment paper.
- Place the cookies in the tray.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes.
- Bake in the same temperature for 15-18 minutes.
- Cool them in wire rack and serve.
- Yummy Ghee biscuits is ready.

How to make ragi ghee biscuits with step by step pictures
Take flour in a bowl
Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to it.
Mix it nicely.
Then add the ghee
Mix nicely to form the dough.
Take small ball of the dough and flatten them.
Repeat the same for rest of the dough.
Line the baking tray with parchment paper or grease with ghee. Place the cookies in the tray.
Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes. Bake in the same temperature for 15-18 minutes.
Cool them in wire rack and serve. I made both version of ghee cookies using maida and ragi.
