Monday again and theme for this week in FoodieMondaybloghop group is #254FaraliFarmaish suggested by Kalyani . She suggested to post family recipes made during fasting. Check her delicious peanuts sundal, Farali dosa and many more vegan, gluten free and interesting recipes from her blog. My contribution to the theme is simple vazhakkai fry.
Generally we do observe fasting on auspicious days like amavasaya, Krithigai and other festivals and occasions. But we don’t follow any food restrictions other than eating only veg on that day and make particular dish depending on the occasion. My mom makes vazhakkai fry and poosanikai(white pumpkin) sambar on the day of amavasaya(no moon day) every month. You can skip garlic and make it as no onion and garlic dish.
