Soya Chunks Manchurian Recipe | Air Fried Soya Manchurian recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. Soya Chunks Manchurian is a delicious starter where air-fried soya chunks are tossed with sauces. Indo-Chinese is always welcome at home and I paired this with vegetable fried rice.
Instead of air frying, you can deep or shallow fry the soya chunks. You can make them dry or semi-gravy type according to your preference. Soya is a rich source of protein for vegetarians. I love adding soya granules in Biryani, gravy or make some fry for kids. Now let's check out the recipe.

Soya Chunks Manchurian Recipe | Air Fried Soya Manchurian
Ingredients
- Soya chunks 50 grams
- Onion 1
- Green chili 2
- Garlic 5-6
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Soya sauce 1.5 tbsp
- Tomato sauce 2-3 tbsp
- Green chilli sauce ½ tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp finely chopped.
Marination
- Rice flour 1.5 tbsp
- Maida/Wheat flour 1.5 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp optional
- Salt as required
- Pepper powder ½ tsp
Instructions
- Boil hot water and soak the soya chunks for 10 minutes.
- Drain and squeeze the soya.
- Take rice flour, wheat flour, ginger garlic paste, salt, and pepper powder in a bowl.
- Add little water, mix to form a thick paste.
- Add soya chunks to it
- Mix till it is nicely coated.
- Preheat the air fryer at 190°C for 3 minutes. Place the marinated soya chunks in the basket.
- Air fry them for 12-15 minutes till it is crispy. Shake the basket halfway through.
- Alternatively, you can fry the marinated soya chunks.
- Heat oil and add finely chopped garlic and green chilli.
- Then add chopped onions and fry for 2-3 minutes till golden.
- Next add soya sauce, tomato sauce, green chilli sauce, red chilli powder, salt, pepper powder, and vinegar.
- Sprinkle little water and sauce on high flame for 1-2 minutes.
- Then add the soya granules to it.
- Mix till it is combined and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Air Fried soya Manchurian is ready. Enjoy it with fried rice.
