I made exactly the way how I make normal biryani and substituted rice with semiya. Serve it with simple raita or any gravy of your choice. I would love to eat on my own. This quick and simple one-pot recipe is easy to make for simple lunch or for guests. Do try and let me know your feedback.

How to make Semiya Biryani with step by step pictures
Wash and chop the vegetables
Add 1/2 tbsp ghee and roast the vermicelli till slightly golden.
Transfer to the plate.
Add oil in the same pan and temper with bay leaves, cloves, and cinnamon.
Then add finely chopped onions and slit green chilli and sauté for a minute
Next, add ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell goes.
Then add chopped tomatoes and sauté till mushy.
Add finely chopped mint and coriander leaves.
Then add curd to it and mix.
Next, add the chopped vegetables and mix.
Then add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and pepper powder and saute for 1 minute.
Then add 1/2 cup water close and allow to cook
Cook till vegetables are done and water is drained.
Then add 2 cups water to it and allow to boil.
Add the roasted semiya to it.
Cook for 3-4 minutes till most water is absorbed.
Close the lid and cook till all water is absorbed.
Open the lid, add lime juice and 1/2 tsp of ghee and gently mix.
Delicious semiya biryani is ready.
