Ingredients
- Green peas ½ cup
- Onion 1 medium
- Salt as required
- Sambar powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
To Temper
- Oil 1.5 tsp
- Mustard ¼ tsp
- Urad dal ¼ tsp
- Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves few
Instructions
- Wash and pressure cook green peas for 2-3 whistles.
- Heat oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
- Once it browns add the finely chopped onions and sauté till transparent.
- Then add salt, sambar powder, turmeric powder and give a quick stir.
- Then add cooked peas and saute.
- Sprinkle little water and cook till the raw smell of masalas is gone.
- Delicious green peas poriyal is ready.

How to make green peas poriyal with step by step pictures
