Kovakkai Curry Recipe | Kovakkai Poriyal recipe with step-by-step pictures and instructions. Kovakkai curry is a simple and quick South Indian-style side dish made with ivy gourd. It belongs to gourd family and called as Ivy gourd in English, Dondakaya in Telugu, kovakkai in tamil and Tindora in many other places.
It is one of the favorite vegetables for me where I will make kovakkai fry or masala with it. I used my sundal masala powder to make this curry which makes it more flavorful. It comes in handy and you can use it in brinjal, ladies finger, and many other curry recipes too. This goes well with rice as well as roti.
